XCMG Tower Crane Helps Build “Optimus Prime” of Columbia

The construction of the BD BACATA Project, which is located in the downtown of Bogota, capital of Columbia, and regarded as the first and also the highest skyscraper in Columbia over the past 40 years, officially kicked off on April 15, 2014. So far, the shining and towering project modeling on the design drawing has yet to be completed, but XCMG tower crane has drawn attention from the jobsite for its robust stature and XCMG’s stocky image.
In the first three months after the construction, one more floor was erected each week in the project. With application of XCMG tower crane and coming of XCMG service team, the construction pace has been further accelerated, and 4-5 more floors can be erected weekly. Meanwhile, the project contractor gave the highest recognition to XCMG equipment’s quality character and XCMG service team’s sincere cooperation.
This project is specially characterized by the philosophy of “From the People, For the People”: more than 3800 Columbian citizens purchased the share of the project with 200 million US dollars in total, making possible the implementation of the project. Accordingly, so far, BD BACATA has become the world’s largest public financing project. In light of its development principle, the project aims to bring new value and vitality for the development and expansion of the city by creating cozy working and living environment and producing a lot of sustainable development elements.
