Successful Hoisting of Largest-tonnage Domestically-produced Crawler Crane
On the morning of June 28, with the fluttering flags, flying banners and huge mechanical arms roaring into the sky at the field of Wuhan 800,000 tons/Year ethylene project of China Petrochemical Group, the ceremony of Wuhan Ethylene & Integrated Projects Large-scale Equipment First Hoisting under the contracted management of No.10 Construction Company hoisting integration of China Petrochemical Group has been grandly held at the construction site. XCMG’s XGC28000 Crawler Crane, being the major hoisting model initiated at the ceremony, would be comprehensively utilized in the hoisting course of large-scale equipment in the projects.
The No.1 extraction rectification column, 78.168 meters in height and 3.8 meters in diameter, is the hoisting equipment at the First Hoisting ceremony. Under the gradually-completed preparation with full condition for hoisting, the ceremony initiated with the order of the commander at 0917AM. Amid the roaring machines at site, all the construction operations have been performed smoothly. With the close coordination by 300-ton gooseneck crane, the XGC28000 crawler crane steadily hoisted the No.1 extraction rectification column onto the equipment bases, marking the safe, smooth and perfect conclusion of the ceremony.
Authorized by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Wuhan 800,000 tons/Year ethylene project of China Petrochemical Group is the first large project in China’s central region and also the symbolic major project in the national adjustment of industrial layout. The completion of the project is not only the crucial step of accelerating China’s ethylene industrial layout and strengthening the eastern to central & western parts expansion of petrochemical industry, but also of profound strategic significance of improving China’s ethylene industry layout for the sake of adopting to marketing demands of petrochemical products in central region and increasing security of the products.
As the Iron Power of petrochemical construction industry, the No.10 Construction Company of China Petrochemical Group, with substantial international influence, possesses superb capability of hoisting transport and leading performance in China. The exclusive undertaking of ethylene large-scale equipment hoisting transport project of Wuhan, featuring estimated overall hoisting weight of over 33,000 tons and transport volume of more than 20,000 tons, again hit the new record of China’s overall contracted project quantity in China’s hoisting transport, showcasing the constant domestically-dominating position of overall contracted hoisting capacity of management and construction of the No.10 Construction Company of China Petrochemical Group.
Ranking No.7 in global industry of construction machinery, XCMG has been leading the development of construction machinery industry for 22 years in China. The XGC28000 crawler crane through independent research and manufacturing is the most advancing hoisting equipment in China, with the largest lifting moment of 28,000 tons meter. The successful operation has smashed the bottleneck of overall monopolized situation of large tonnage crawler crane by foreign enterprises in current market, fulfilling the new breakthrough of China’s research and manufacturing of such product, marking that the R&D capacity of China’s large hoisting equipment has reached the advancing level internationally. This would undoubtedly accelerate progress of China’s construction enterprise, enhancing their capacity to a new height.
The successful ceremony of first hoisting and the initiation of the largest-tonnage crane in China is not only attributed to the outstanding capacity of hoisting operation and magnificent hoisting technology of the No.10 Construction Company of China Petrochemical Group, but also the reliable quality of sound performance of XCMG’s XGC28000 crane.
The No.10 Construction Company of China Petrochemical Group and XCMG both claim that they will build the new momentum of large equipment hoisting transport operation with the luck of the first successful hoisting ceremony.
