It’s a “Go” from Volvo! On October 11th, the Volvo Company’s SQE Department in Shanghai completed its inspection of frames produced by Shantui for use in construction machinery. The frames were developed by the Volvo Project Department of Shantui’s Structural Parts Company subsidiary. Three EC380 frames and ten EC210 frames were installed in Volvo equipment and subjected to a battery of tests over a period of five days from October 6th to October 11th. After rigorous testing the frames were given a passing grade, certifying the products for use in future Yunda Volvo construction machinery equipment. The tests were presided over by Volvo Project Development officers and various staff from the business, technology, and production departments.

Shantui is known in China for making its own structural parts for its diversified line of construction machinery products.  The Company also sells many of these parts to foreign customers and even to its domestic Chinese competitors. Shantui’s dominance of this vertical market helps contribute to the Company’s value leadership around the globe.
