The reconstruction and expansion project of Hohhot-Baotou section of Beijing-Tibet Expressway was started in October 2010, belonging to a reconstruction and expansion project of an old road. At this area, when winter comes, expressions like “large-scale snowfall” and “frozen expressway” often appear in the news of various media. Besides, the construction was required to go on without closing the traffic.
