With coal mine rock roadways and tunnels increasing in recent years, XCMG Foundation Company seized the market opportunity to develop EBZ200R Hard Rock Boring Machine, based on the original Coal Mine Tunnel Boring Machine, adapted to cut through rock.   

   The tunneling Boring Machine has a high stability and working power. The cutter uses high strength wear-resistant cutting pick with optimized arrangement, greatly enhancing its rock crushing performance.

    The first model machine was applied to a mountain tunnel. The tunnel rock was lightly weathered rock with a high hardness. There were also some transport difficulties with the tunnel. According to client requirements, XCMG modified the machine to facilitate the transportation of tunnel rock. During the test phase, the EBZ200R Boring Machine obtained unanimously praise from the client for its high efficiency cutting performance and stable operation. 

    This was the first time that XCMG mine tunnel Boring Machine had been used in the rock tunnel construction project. It was a pioneering step in the industry, expanding the Boring Machine application potential, and further expanding XCMG’s sales market.
