From October 16 to October 17, the Top 50 Summit of World Construction Machinery Industry ceremoniously kicked off in Beijing. Leaders of China Top 30 Construction Machinery Vendors, represented by Chairman of XCMG Group Wang Min, gathered together with tycoons of the world construction machinery industry to have a further discussion on the economic development trend and the industry’s middle and long-term development in China and the world.

    At the summit, Qi Jun, chairman of China Construction Machinery Association, delivered a speech, in which he pointed out that for a long term, China would continue serving as an important engine for recovery and growth of the world economy. With further implementation of the world, particularly China’s economic adjustment, improvement and upgrade of the industry ecology system, variation of market competition environment and rules, and regulation of growth pace etc., China construction machinery industry will achieve leap-forward improvement in terms of development pattern and growth quality etc.

    At the summit forum chaired by Rui Chenggang, a famous anchorman of CCTV, Chairman Wang Min delivered a speech in which he noted that despite the gloomy world economy, there were still lots of opportunities. In particular, Chinese enterprises have transformed from the expansion phase to the upgrade phase, and brought high-quality products and China-specific services into the global market. “Internationalization is still the unshakable route in the future. Since Chinese construction machinery vendors can rival world advanced enterprises in the manufacturing sector, those enterprises that do a good job of international development will achieve success in the long run”, said Wang.

    Presently, the world construction machinery industry is undergoing adjustment, with market demands declining, and so the industry competition will become increasingly fierce. However, the pattern of homogenized strategic choice will come to an end. Several years later, with integration of Chinese enterprises and foreign-funded enterprises, the construction machinery industry is bound to step into the global post-competition era. At that time, competition between enterprises will transform into competition and cooperation, and single product competition will turn into global brand competition. Accordingly, the global market pattern will incur change. In face of the upcoming post-competition era, XCMG has made preparations, according to Chairman Wang.
