Tips for storage, repair and maintenance of milling excavator cutter:
1. De-incrustation: put two cleaned large-sized mature loofa sponges without peel and seeds into the water tank, and replace them on a regular basis.
2. Piston ring of poor elasticity: it is recommended to put a standard new ring of the same model above the used ring along the perimeter vertically. After that, press the two rings with hands. In case that only the used ring’s opening is closed, it implies that the used ring has favorable elasticity and can be further used.
3. Repair of ruptured paper washer: smear a little of grease on both sides of the paper washer. Then, cut out two sheets of thin white papers of the same size as the paper washer, and paste them to both sides of the paper washer. After that, mount the paper washer onto the equipment, and tighten the nut to avoid any potential leakage.
4. Bleeding air from the oil pump: any air left in the pump may bring about oil pumping failure. In this case, use one used medical syringe to suck oil, inject the oil into the pump inlet, and meanwhile turn the oil pump, allowing the oil to flow out of the outlet.
5. Oil leakage at the faying face of bosses on both ends of high-pressure oil tube with fuel injector and outlet valve: cut out one circular copper washer from the waste head gasket, puncture the copper washer in the middle, and put it between the boss and the pit.
6. Dirt removal from iron filter element: it is hard to clean the iron element of air filter with diesel oil. If there is diesel oil on the filter element, ignite the diesel oil, and after it burns out, use a wooden stick to knock the ash away from the filter element, so that those dirty matters in the filter element can be thoroughly cleared.
7. Dirt removal from fine filter: it is hard to clear mud and dirt in the rotor-type fine filter. Therefore, it is recommended to paste a piece of paper to the rotor inner wall with grease, so that the mud will be attached to the paper, and then tear it off in maintenance. In this way, the mud and dirty matters can be thoroughly removed.
8. Bending of oil pipe: oil pipe made of red copper is rigid and thus difficult to be bended in installation. In this case, burn the to-be-bended part with charcoal fire until red, and then immediately put it into cold water for cooling. After that, the oil pipe will become flexible and bendable.
