Leading Chinese construction equipment brand, SDLG, is sponsoring the 2014 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League – and to coincide with the Western Sydney Wanderers vs Guangzhou Evergrande game, the company invited local soccer club, the Narellan Rangers, and the Waste Contractors and Recycling Association to watch the match.
The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League, Asia’s largest football tournament, is reaching its climax with the Quarter Finals in full swing. On Wednesday, 20th August, last year’s champions Guangzhou Evergrande of China came head-to-head with Australian side the Western Sydney Wanderers at Sydney’s Parramatta Stadium, which resulted in a 1-0 win for the hosts. As sponsor of the AFC, SDLG will host VIP guests at the match including major customers, representatives from the trade body the New South Wales Waste Contractors and Recycling Association (WCRA) and management from SDLG’s authorized dealer for Australia, CJD Equipment Pty Ltd. In addition, players and staff from the local amateur soccer club, Narellan Rangers, have also been invited to watch the game.
“Soccer is the world’s most popular sport and it puts great emphasis on passion, vitality and teamwork –all values that the SDLG brand is keen to promote,” explains Yu Mengsheng, executive president of SDLG. “We are keen to support football at every level – from local communities to pan-Asian tournaments. We are proud to be the first-ever construction equipment brand to sponsor the AFC, and we’re delighted to support the Narellan Rangers as part of our commitment to sport and the community.”
Also watching the game will be a number of staff and members of the WCRA, a body that CJD Equipment has built a strong relationship with and which addresses business issues relating to the waste and recycling industry.
“The WCRA is an important body in the waste and recycling industry and we’re proud to support its good work,” explains Grayden Leaver, national marketing manager at CJD Equipment. “We will also be hosting three important customers at the match and we’re looking forward to strengthening those relationships at this exciting football match.”
The products are manufactured at a state-of-the-art 1 million m2 production facility in Linyi, China. The company is changing perceptions of Chinese manufactured products by using advanced technology, lean manufacturing techniques and benchmarking its processes against the best factories in the world. The company has even devised its own production philosophy – the Lingong Production System – focused on eliminating waste, improving efficiency and upgrading quality. The result is shorter lead times, lower prices and better quality. The SDLG-branded machines are known for their value, robustness and ease of operation.
