Italthai hosts SDLG media day in Bangkok
May 15, 2015Following the successful launch of the SDLG Top Driver campaign, SDLG’s national distributor Italthai Industrial (ITI) hosted a special event for local media on 14th May.
Running into its third consecutive year, the SDLG Top Driver campaign – aimed at promoting machine operators’ skills and safety practices – has been a huge success in China and beyond. The Thailand Top Driver campaign launched in Bangkok at the end of April in partnership with SDLG’s national distributor, Italthai Industrial (ITI) and has received endorsement from Thailand’s Ministry of Labour.
To kick off the first round of the competition in Suphan Buri Province in the center of the country, a themed media event was held to test drive the 3D simulators that offered journalists a virtual ride on the equipment. One of the media representatives in attendance commented: “This is the first time I’ve seen a campaign that incorporates machines operators on such a broad scale in Thailand. I think this will really inspire young operators to enter into the industry as well as improving operator safety and skills.”
Allen Zeng, the marketing director of SDLG, said:
“The purpose of the Top Driver campaign is to promote safety and fuel efficiency, as well as increasing the overall skill level of operators. Our partnership with the ITA and Thailand’s Ministry of Labour extends our reach to thousands of operators across Thailand that aim to become the best of the best.”
The SDLG Thailand Top Driver program will host competitions in Surat Thani in the south, from June 22 to 26, and in Khon Kaen in the northeast from July 2 to 6.
