Lovol Service Engineers’ Business Trip to Mali
January 28, 2016
In July, 2015, Lovol Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. won a large agricultural machinery order, which comprised 1,000 sets of medium and heavy-duty tractors and 2,800 agricultural implements worth over RMB 100 million. This is the largest agricultural machinery project that China has ever facilitated in Africa since the establishment of P.R. China. Following the successive delivery of tractors and agricultural implements, Lovol sent a service team made up of its top service engineers to Bamako to provide 6-month service support for this project in Mali.
It happened to be the busy farming season when Lovol service team arrived there. Therefore, they had to work for more than 10 hours a day to provide a mobile service for surrounding users. One day in December, 2015, a Lovol service engineer picked up a repair call, claiming that a Lovol TD 824 tractor suffered steering malfunction when plowing. Upon hearing that, the engineer immediately drove to the site to carry out examination and repair work. It turned out that this accident was caused by a broken oil seal in the steering system. He immediately opened the steering line and replaced the broken one with a new oil seal. It only cost him half an hour to solve this problem. The user couldn’t feel happier and said with gratitude, “I didn’t expect you would solve my problem that soon; Lovol’s efficient service is really impressive.”
According to the user, back in 2008, he bought a Lovol TB 504 tractor to deliver aggregate and cement, and do plowing and carry fertilizers to neighboring farms. Very soon, this Lovol tractor became a good helper for him to make more fortune. Two years later, he used the accumulated money to build a 2-storey house with a total area of 300 square meters, which was the first storied house in his village. Because of that, he became a well-known rich man in local area. “My previous tractor had excellent quality. It was very reliable, adaptive and convenient. So, this year, I bought a new Lovol tractor with higher HP. It has helped us a lot to make more fortune. I even set up a garage for it.”
Through more than half a year’s efforts, Lovol service team to Mali has visited over 300 users, examining and repairing more than 800 vehicles, training over 2,000 users, and completing the construction of 3 fittings warehouses. Apart from that, it also established in Mali a national expert-level service team, which was equipped with sufficient service vehicles and abundant fittings resources, and set up a digital command platform of quick response and a technical guidance platform, thus significantly shortening the period of time required to debugging the terminal and effectively raising the agricultural mechanization level of Mali.
