Phoenix blossoms are in full bloom on a fiery early summer day. On June 5, XCMG's public welfare project of "Global Star Machine Operator" and the first training class of its kind draws a successful conclusion. A conclusion symposium is held at the Multifunction Hall in the XCMG Technician Academy on that day. More than 60 machine operators from 26 enterprises in eight provinces in China attend the training as the students of the first training class. They have graduated following one-week training and passed a technical skill assessment test. Well-targeted and pertinent, the training has been carried out by adopting “integrated, IT-based intelligent and systemic approaches and blending theory and practicality".

Thanks to XCMG's public welfare brand of Global Excellence, those machine operators have become the first group of people who have benefitted from the public welfare project "Global Star Machine Operator" .

The 7-day training is short but fruitful. According to one of the students at the training class, "This training has been designed and carried out in a very thoughtful, detail-oriented, sensible and scientific way. Activities include participating in team-building training sessions, visiting XCMG's exhibition hall and the production base, attending lectures on the corporate culture, taking part in model splicing competition and inviting experts from the enterprises and schools to customize our training courses. All of those activities have gone beyond our expectations; therefore, I give a thump up to XCMG!"

Now, let's follow our editor to view some of the wonderful moments in the seven-day training.

Being new to Xuzhou, students are moved by the hospitality expressed by XCMG' s people 

Some students who reported to the training class even travelled from a city as far as Hainan and many of them came to Xuzhou for the first time. Things at the XCMG training academy including the beautiful and nice-looking campus, the tasty meals, the pleasant and comfortable living quarters, and the support and services provided in a thoughtful and heart-warming way have made the students feel at home and have brought them love and care.

The students are so excited to see a greeting vigorously written in Chinese calligraphy that they give big thumbs up !

Elaborately-made electronic training guides helpe the students to learn right away the training schedule, XCMG's great corporate culture and the local conditions and customs of Xuzhou.

In order to cater to the students who are from all over the country, the chiefs have  modified the dishes to their taste in such a way that all of the students fall in love with "Xuzhou's Flavor".

On the morning of May 30, XCMG's public welfare project "Global Star Machine Operator" and the first training class kicked off officially at the Troubleshooting Site at the XCMG Technician Academy. The project, as one of the 14 public welfare projects of the Group company, aims at building a platform for the international users and related practitioners to learn and receive trainings, to improve their skills, and to share with each other in an interactive way, so as to promote healthy and sustainable development of the industry.

With implementation of the project，XCMG will build the first training base of the construction machinery simulation driving, which will train 200 construction machinery operators free of charge for its global customers. The training base aims to provide strategic talent reserve of machine operators for service and post market and to meet the demands of all kinds of construction projects.

Following the kick-off ceremony, all of the students participated in the quality improvement training carefully designed by the project team according to the training program, improving their teamwork and collaboration capabilities.

The machine operator students are writing collaboratively the brand tag line "XCMG, XCMG, We Help You to Succeed" . Look at them, they all look very attentive! Every one of them is so awesome!

In the afternoon, the students visited the product experience hall of XCMG located at the group's headquarter and learned about XCMG's yesterday, today and tomorrow.

At the product experience hall, the students display great interest in XCMG's culture and enjoy the exhibition immensely and long for more.

On the second floor at the exhibition hall, a very large sand table which occupies an area of nearly 90 square meters attracted the students' eyes. They marveled at lifelike dynamic product models, complete product lines on display and the integration of sound, light and electricity, stopping to take pictures from time to time.

Following their trip to the exhibition hall, the students went to visit the plant site of the XCMG's Road Machinery Department.

The training was conducted with a focus on theory and opeation from May 31 to June 3. A faculty composed of a team of experts and the academy teachers customized the training courses catering to the students' individual needs. The courses help students to build a theoretical knowledge base in road surface machinery operations including land levelers, road rollers and milling machines, offering them maximized value-added training courses.

The training is conducted in an easy-to-understand language, aided with PPT files in text and graphs. Moreover, mission-driven and behavior-oriented advanced teaching methods have been adopted and simulation operation demonstrations have been staged; as a result, students are offered a nutritious "knowledge feast.”

The students display their technical competency as "Global Star Machine Operators" by mastering standard driving skills, acquiring flat ground techniques and gaining hands-on knowledge of XCMG's road surface machinery products.

During the training, some social and entertainment activities that integrated knowledge and fun were provided in addition to the intensive training courses, helping to creating a light and cheerful culturalistic ambience.

Lecture on XCMG's Corporate Culture

Su Yuan, Assistant to the Dean of XCMG Technician Academy, lectures on XCMG's corporate culture. Through historical materials rich in text and pictures, he overviews the history of XCMG's development and introduces its main engine products while promoting XCMG’s culture.

From June 4 to June 5, assessment and examination were conducted for the students of "Global Star Machine Operator" project and the first machine operating training class. They were tested in theory and operation and their learning outcomes were tested in an objective and fair way.

On the afternoon of June 5, a conclusion symposium is held for the students of the public welfare project "Global Star Machine Operator" and the first machine operation training class. At the symposium, the students share with each other their thoughts and what they have learned during the 7-day learning.

Product design experts from the Road Roller Section, Land Leveler Section and Milling and Planning Machine Section of XCMG's Road Machinery Department are invited prior to the symposium to share their expertise and experience with the students with regard to the outstanding performance and application methods of XCMG's road surface machinery. At the symposium, the students are sharing their training experience, what they have learned during the training and their future outlook. According to Yun Tianhui, a student from the Wenchang Highway Branch of Hainan Province, "During my time at XCMG, I have not only acquired knowledge, but also made friends. I would like to thank XCMG for providing us this precious opportunity of learning and exchanging, and I would also like to thank management and teachers at the XCMG Technician Academy for taking great care of us."

As Liang Junlong, a student from the Zhengzhou Feilong Road and Bridge Company Limited, puts it, "By taking part in the XCMG's public welfare training, I have learned a lot of knowledge and acquired some skills, and experienced the XCMG’s spirit of great love. After I leave here, I will share what I have learned about XCMG's products with my associates，promote XCMG's values, and shoulder social responsibilities with XCMG and help more people to succeed."

The public welfare project "Global Star Machine Operator" will hold the 7th machine operator training class this year. Machine operators from China and abroad will take part in the training which covers a full spectrum of the main engines of construction machinery and the up and down stream customer terminals as well, extending the scope of the public welfare advocacy "At XCMG, we strive to make the world a better place."
