Recently, a debriefing conference about 3DPUB (Three-Dimensional Publication System) digital design research and application project go-live has been convened successfully, at which there were more than 60 attendees including XCMG Vice General manager Li Suoyun, GM Wang Qingzhu of the Road Machinery Business Unit, and also some on-board leads and project backbones who work together for promoting the heavy road crawler cranes.

The project, jointly developed by XCMG and Xidian University, takes Caterpillar SIS as benchmarking, by focusing on "leading technology", and based on the needs of customers, to provide customers with unique atlas and structured manual provided with the machine. Through data analysis and comparison, it can provide the first-hand service data for XCMG’s customers worldwide, make sure the accuracy of after-sales service, and have service data feedback to the design client so as to provide the basis for accurate positioning and design of the products.

3DPUB has achieved a high integration with Pro/E, PDM, ERP, MES systems, creating data channels among production side, release side and the system side, thus to achieve substantial breakthrough in data applications of the construction machinery industry. The final output is Internet-based structural and queryable document uniquely provided with the machine. The random documents can be quickly generated at different requests of customers so as to improve the production efficiency of the publications, while releasing data based on the modular management. Follow-up study will focus on link of three-dimensional publication platform to heavy-duty "Crane online", "Home of road" and other one-stop solutions in order to achieve all round process management and control services as product Design -> Manufacturing -> Service -> Repair and Maintenance.

3DPUB Go-live can further boost the "Manufacture and Internet integration and innovation", dig up its development potential and mobility, and provide a strong driving power for “All-out advance into the world's top three and achievement of 'Everest summit' of global industry".
