Recently, tongling jiangbei port railway line qidaoshan tunnel preparation project in the firyang county held a ceremony, marking the county's fourth railway is about to start construction.

Tongling jiangbei port special railway line is an important project of combined iron and water transport along the trunk line of the Yangtze river. It is a major strategic plan of the CPC central committee and the state council to promote the development of the Yangtze river economic belt. Since its launch in early 2019, our county has fully supported the early stage of the project. It is expected to start construction in the first half of this year and complete by the end of 2023.

The project starts from lujiang south station of lu-tong railway, passes through nihe, shanshan, luo town of our county, zongyang county of tongling city, suburb, and ends at jiangbei port district (laozhou town) with a designed speed of 80 km/h. The total investment is estimated to be 3.4 billion yuan, of which the lujiang section is about 19.8 kilometers long. The whole line has 5 stations, including 1 rebuilt station (south of lujiang river), 3 newly built stations (vanshan, hengbu, nansha port), and 1 reserved station (qianpu station).

In recent years, the county's railway construction has developed rapidly, the total length of the railway has reached 142 kilometers, more than the length of the highway, including 80 kilometers of railway (he-jiu railway, lu-tong railway), 42 kilometers of railway under construction (he-an high-speed railway), and 20 kilometers of railway (tongling river north harbor special line).
