The European standard VI c is an emission limit for trucks in the European Union based on the European parliament code for commercial vehicles. The fixed part of this code includes the testing of the vehicle in actual use.

The PEMS system (portable emission measurement system) is a mobile emission detection device for actual driving. In order to determine PEMS emissions on public roads, in-service vehicle compliance procedures (emissions during use) were also used.
