According to the working meeting of the state railway group co., LTD., in 2019, China's fixed asset investment in railways will total 802.9 billion yuan, of which 751.1 billion yuan will be made by the state railway, and 8,489 kilometers of new lines will be put into operation, including 5,474 kilometers of high-speed rail. By the end of 2019, China will have more than 13.9 kilometers of railways in operation, including 35,000 kilometers of high-speed rail.

China's railways made 3.57 billion trips, up 7.7% year on year, including 2.29 billion emus passengers, up 14.1% year on year, and 3.44 billion tons of freight, up 7.8% year on year.
